We install permanent lighting along the roofline of your home. We do it so the wiring, the outlet and the mounting hold up to code and to winter. Here is how we work and what you can expect when we show up.
Why we care about the parts you can't see
Most people call us because they're tired of the ladder every November. Permanent lighting fixes that. The lights stay up year-round, tucked under the roofline, and you change colors from an app-controlled system on your phone. Holidays, game nights, or plain warm white on a regular evening.
The lights are the easy part. What decides whether a system lasts is everything behind them. Where the power comes from. How the power supply is protected. How the track is fastened to your fascia or gutters. A rushed job runs an extension cord through a window or plugs into an outlet with no weather cover. That works until the first wet snow.
So we start with power. Outdoor outlets need GFCI protection and a cover rated for wet locations. If your home doesn't have one in the right spot, adding it is electrical work, and depending on the town it may need a permit and an inspection. We tell you that at the quote, not halfway through the install, and we handle the paperwork when it's needed.
How we run a job
Plain answers at the quote
We walk the roofline with you and look at your eaves, gutters and power options. You get a written quote that lists the run lengths and any outlet work. Nothing shows up later as a surprise.
No holes in your roof
Track mounts to the fascia or under the gutter edge. We don't drive fasteners through shingles, and we keep wire runs away from spots where water and ice collect.
Code first, then color
Wet-location covers, protected circuits and wiring kept up off the ground. We'd rather do the boring part right than come back to fix it.
Clean site, working app
Before we pack up, we pick up clips and wire scraps and test every zone. Then we set up the app on your phone and show you how to run it.

Our crew works out of Ballston Spa. We also put permanent lighting on homes in Saratoga Springs, Malta, Milton, Ballston, Greenfield, Country Knolls, Charlton, Clifton Park, Glenville and Halfmoon. Each town can handle permits a little differently, so we look up the rules for your address before we give you a number.
Upstate winters are hard on anything mounted outside. That's why we seal every connection and route every run with snow, ice and freeze-thaw in mind, so your lights keep working long after the install.
